What We Sell

At Monkey Britches, making freeze-dried candy started out as something simple. It was just us having fun in the kitchen, trying new things, and seeing where it took us. It wasn’t long before that little hobby turned into something bigger. We started experimenting with old favorites, giving them a playful twist, and watching people light up when they tried them. Where Our Unique Name Came From

The name Monkey Britches is more than just unique; it's personal. One night during dinner, I was telling my kids how I couldn't decide on a name for my new business. We talked about our day, shared some laughs, and then the kids started reminiscing about their papaw — a man we loved dearly and whose memory still fills our hearts. As we remembered his warm smile and playful spirit, someone mentioned his awesome nickname: Monkey Britches. That’s when we all had a moment of realization — that was it. The name was the perfect tribute to a man who meant so much to us. And just like that, our little candy business had a name that would carry his spirit forward with every sweet we sell.
