The freeze-drying process typically takes 3 to 12 hours, depending on the type of candy.

The name Monkey Britches is more than just unique. It’s personal. One night at dinner, I told my kids I couldn’t decide on a name for my candy business. As we shared memories and laughs, someone mentioned their papaw’s old nickname: Monkey Britches.

He was kind, playful, and always brought joy to our lives. The moment we heard it, we knew it was perfect. That name captured everything he stood for: love, laughter, and togetherness.

And just like that, our little candy business had its name.

Nestled in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, it’s a place where community, kindness, and tradition are important. Growing up here taught us the value of hard work and care.
